    The 12th in Penderyn’s Icons Of Wales Edition whiskies is called Copperopolis. Penderyn’s new distillery is in the Powerhouse of the old Swansea copperworks building.

    This 70cl bottle has an abv of 46% and matured in Sweet Red Wine Finish.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose: Floral and fruity. Scent of orange blossom, notes of peaches, cherries and orange peel. Sweet vanilla and honey, with a light spice of dried fruits.

    Palate – Luscious mouthfeel. Rich sweetness of caramel and honey. Bouquet of dried fruits; raisins, figs and light oak spices.

    Finish: Dry oak remains, with a citrus sweetness and a dust of cocoa to the end.
