Macallan Distil Your World Mexico Edition (70cl)

It was while breaking into the sweet bread ‘pan de muerto’  in Mexico City and hearing from the baker that it contained orange blossom water that Whisky Maker Diane Stuart decided she would search for that flavour for her coming whisky.

Macallan - Distil Your World - The Mexico Edition is the collaboration of Whisky Maker Diane Stuart and Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca – twice named World’s Best Restaurant.

They travelled together to Mexico to experience the flavours, art and culture of Mexico and in the particular the joyous approach to the Day of the Dead festival. They came back inspired by the flavours and even colour, and Diane created this extraordinary whisky.

It has notes of sugared pan de muerto bread, vanilla, pineapple, orange oil, marigold flowers, charred pineapple and a hint of fresh green coriander.

It comes at a strength of 48% ABV and has a vibrant marigold colour. 

The packaging by the illustrator Alfredo Rios is visually stunning, a perfect balance of intense colours, shapes and images – illustrating the harmony between humanity and nature.

This harmonious but intense whisky is sweet and creamy.
