Part of the Travel Retail exclusive range, The Loch is named for the distillery's water source, Market Loch, which sits 1000 feet above sea level.

    The Gaelic term for the community on Jura is 'Diurach' which also means tough. The island is home to more than 5,000 deer and less than 200 islanders. George Orwell famously wrote the novel 1984 while resident on Jura in the 1940s. The island has just one road, one pub and one distillery.

    A small portion of peated malt lends a subtle smoke to the sweet bourbon cask influence and the richness of the PX casks. It opens rich and sweet with thick treacle on the nose. The palate brings praline and baked apple with a touch of coffee, before a fruity note in the spicy finish.
