Red fruits tend to dominate the nose, the mix of redcurrant and cherry has a peppery spiciness. The finish is lovely and rich, one is left with a mouthful of fruit

This is 100% Lodi fruit from two 50 year old vineyards. The valley vineyard, with sandiersoil, was harvested starting in late October and the hillside vineyard was harvested startingin early November. Fermentation was very consistent and relatively cool, around 80 degrees F. The valley and hillside fruit was aged separately, with the valley fruit keep in stainless steel to preserve the fruitiness and the hillside fruit aged in oak barrels for 18 months. The wine was racked three times prior to the final blending and bottling.
