Whilst most of Johnny Neill's inspiration for his gins comes from his ancestors intrepid exploits abroad, this Rhubarb & Ginger Gin harks from fond memories made slightly closer to home. Post-war, the Whitley Family, now settled into rural England near Daresbury, cultivated their garden with thrilling flavours, serving as inspiration for both the table and indeed their experimentation with new Gins.
Rhubarb & Ginger has become a firm favourite among the Whitley Neill range. The essence of rhubarb adds a tart crisp edge to a smooth English gin base whilst the ginger extract warms the palate for a full-bodied finish.
Best enjoyed by filling a highball glass with cubed ice, add 50ml Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger Gin, then top with 100ml premium Tonic Water. Stir well and garnish with a thin slice of ginger and a wedge of lemon.
