Edmond Briottet produce a range of Dijon Crème de Cassis (Dijon blackcurrant liqueur) with alcohol content of 15% to 20% using increasing proportions of fruit. All of the blackcurrants are grown in the Côte d’Or department in Burgundy with the “Noir de Bourgogne” variety for its unrivalled aroma and taste characteristics. The “Cassis de Dijon” (Dijon blackcurrant liqueur) obtained Geographical Indication Status (GI) and must comply with the legal definition of Dijon Crème de Cassis. Namely, at least 400 grams of sugar per litre, and at least 15% alcohol content. Dijon Cassis must be manufactured in the city of Dijon where Maison Briottet has been operating right in the heart of for over a century. Maison Briottet makes Dijon Crèmes de Cassis which contain 240 grams of blackcurrants per litre, and up to 500 grams of blackcurrants.
