Albariño (known as Alvarinho in Portugal) is celebrated for its vibrant acidity and distinctive aromatic profile, primarily thriving in the cool, maritime climates of Galicia (Spain) and Monção and Melgaço (Portugal).
On the nose, it typically offers a refreshing bouquet of stone fruits like peach and apricot, interwoven with citrus notes of lemon zest and grapefruit, and often a hint of honeysuckle. What truly sets the variety apart is its saline minerality—a "seaspray" quality attributed to the coastal vineyards where it grows.
While usually enjoyed young to preserve its crispness, some high-quality expressions undergo lees aging to add a creamy texture and weight, balancing the grape's naturally high acidity and making it an exceptional partner for seafood.
More recently, Albarino has been planted in France and as far away as New Zealand.

On the nose, this single vineyard wine shows fragrant white peaches, fresh jasmine, with hints of honeydew melon and ripe citrus. The palate is flavoursome and mouth filling with a refreshing zingy finish.
Solas Albarino has aromas of tropical fruit and citrus with delicate floral and mineral overtones. The palate is refreshing with generous exotic fruit character and a hint of lime to the finish. A soft yet crisp and aromatic white, it illustrates Laurent’s signature style of clean, pure fruit.
This Albariño comes from the warmer, drier region of La Mancha. Grown at high altitudes above 800m to retain the characteristic acidity of the grape, the wine is then fermented using ambient yeasts and aged in inert stainless-steel tanks to preserve the fresh and delicate nuances of the grapes. The nose gives aromas of pungent citrus, tropical...
