    Successful in the Rioja since 1924 and since 2010 in the Rueda, too! Back in 1924, when Ramón Bilbao Murga established the vineyard estate in the heart of Rioja, he was already known for his great pioneering spirit. Today this tradition of innovation makes Ramón Bilbao one of the most successful and renowned producers of Rioja Alta. Its search for the most suitable terroir for white wine took the family to Rueda. Today Ramón Bilbao is the proud proprietor of the modern wine cellar Monte Blanco, which focuses exclusively on the production of a single white wine. The very first vintage, the Monte Blanco Verdejo 2010, was elected best Spanish white wine by the country’s sommeliers.
