Almaraz Viura/Sauvignon Blanc Rioja (2019)

Almaraz Blanco is a delicious new arrival from Rioja and Bodegas del Medievo. A light, fresh, un-oaked white Rioja showing the typical pear and apple aromas. Flavours of pears and peaches coupled with a citrus uplift from Sauvignon Blanc in the blend. A really refreshing and lightly rounded white Rioja; great value.

Established in 2001, Bodegas del Medievo is an exciting, innovative winery in Aldeanueva de Ebro 50km South of Logrono, just in Rioja Baja. The vineyards are situated on the fringes of Mount Yerga, 600 metres above sea level which provides optimal conditions for the cultivation of healthy grapes. Joseba and Santiago, viticulturist and winemaker respectively set up this Bodega to produced high quality wines that offer great value. From their young wines like Almaraz through to Tuerce Botas Graciano Crianza, their wines have the hallmark of quality throughout.
