Château Léoube Blanc de Léoube (2020)

The herb and mint notes that underly the spiced pear aromas evoke the maquis that surrounds the vines; and the gentle salinity that flows through the finish is a natural result of the breezes that blow off the sea. Textured and highly distinctive, this is an exciting dry white wine.

Much of Provence is on the warm side for the production of dry whites, but the hilly, terraced vineyards of Château Léoube, next to the Mediterranean sea, make this sort of wine possible. Dry, textured and highly distinctive, this is an exciting white that would be a refreshing match for seafood dishes, roast chicken and a range of cheeses.
