A seductive aroma of red fruit (cherries, currants, blackberries) and wild herbs in the nose. The oral commitment is impressive soft, almost creamy and shows a similar spontaneous (dark) red fruit (berries and blackberries). In developing mild spiciness that gives character to the wine. The final is driven fruit, with hardly any tannins and mild acidity. Remains relatively long in the mouth after. A butter candy with lots of fruit.

Domaine Cabanis is in the AOC Costières de Nîmes zone. South of Nîmes, atop the high plateaux, the domaine extends across 32 hectares (70 acres), 14 (30 acres) covered in vines. The soil composition is hilltop clay/silice, with most of the vineyards covered in the rolled stones left from the ancient passage of the Rhône thousands of years ago. This terroir permits the wines to reach full fruit maturity, and often contributes to an expression of toasted notes.
The domaine has been cultivated organically since 1984.
