Adi Badenhorst has long been at the centre of South Africa's new wave wine revolution. If anyone deserves the bulk of the credit for jump-starting the country's reputation on the world stage it is him. Based in the dry, hot vineyards of Swartland due north of Stellenbosch, he has spearheaded a movement of boutique wines made in the most traditional ways possible. His wines are remarkably refined and elegant given their origins and accordingly they have captured a legion of admirers around the world.
