Madame May Eliane de Lencquesaing owned Chateau Pichon Lalande and made it one of the premier wine estates in Bordeaux. In 2003 she bought a plum farm in the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation in the foothills of the Simonsberg. In the succeeding years she and her team have transformed Glenelly into a showpiece Wine Estate. One of the great attractions of a visit to Glenelly is The Glass Museum which houses Madame de Lencquesaing’s collection of ancient and modern glass. This museum is reputed to be the largest private collection of glass in the world. The Glenelly Glass Collection Cabernet Sauvignon is part of a range of wines which honours this collection.
