    Castello di Volpaia

    The vineyards of Volpaia, located between 1,000 and 1,750 feet, are among the highest of the Chianti region. They have benefitted greatly from recent warmer vintages, but remain known for their freshness and elegance. Owner Giovanella Stianti used to sell to The Wine Society in the seventies and the older vintages kept beautifully. She is now joined by daughter Federica.
