Santadi started in 1960 when a number of wine growers together started a wine cooperative in southwestern Sulcis district of Sardinia. But it was only in the 70s with the help of the oenologist Giacomo Tachis, that the winemaking began for real. Today, Santadi has become a reference among Sardinian winemakers and the wines are exported worldwide.
"Villa Solais' is a white wine from Sardinia made from 70% Vermentino and 30% Nuragus. The grapes are harvested by hand throughout the month of September and are then immediately pressed. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and the finished wine is matured in its lees for a few months.
