Named after the clay-rich soils of the area between Peschiera and Desenzano on the southern side of Lake Garda, this is rare for a northern Italian white: it has aroma, it has a weighty mouth-feel and a much more gutsy range of fruit flavours on the palate than much of what is exported from northern Italy to our shores.
