Just as Malbec is the everyday red wine of Argentina, Negroamaro is the red of southern Italy, the grape's native home. On its own, Negroamaro can be a bit rustic and earthy, but in this wine it's blended with Primitivo, known to us American folk as Zinfandel. The result is a juicy, crowd-friendly wine that'll be awesome at any outdoor barbecue you host or attend this summer. You can even hang onto a couple of bottles for next summer and the one after that, as this wine will get better with age. Man has yet to create a better wine to pair with burgers.
