Bonavita Merlot 2018 South Eastern Australia
This Merlot was produced by a top Australian winemaker from grapes grown in the Riverina area of South Eastern Australia. Precision and passion in every aspect of the winemaking process results in a premium quality wine that is a true reflection of its varietal character.
The colour is a bright ruby red with a bouquet redolent of forest fruits - berries and currants. The palate shows flavours of sweet ripe blueberries, redcurrants and cherries. Th inherent tannins are soft and smooth and the finish is long and satisfying.

Deep ruby red with shades of garnet in colour, with aromas of black cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant jam jump out on the nose. On the palate, this is medium bodied and well balanced with flavours of wild berry fruits and spicy notes
The traditional submersed cap method is used, with the addition of the “rack and return” process during the first period of maceration to extract tannins, colour and the traditional varietal characteristics. These are allowed to develop to their best during maturation in stainless steel tanks and in bottle. Maceration takes between 12-15 days at a controlled temperature, never exceeding 26°C
