These are long thin green chillies with a sweet-spicy taste, a speciality of Navarra and the Basque Country. They have been lightly pickled, and once rinsed are perfect with a plate of Jamon Serrano or other tapas dishes; as an appetiser with marinated olives, or try with bonito tuna, anchovies or smoked fish.
Conservas Leyenda started in the 70s and 80s when the Valerio family owned the Oliver Cafeteria in Calahorra (La Rioja). They realize that customers often complained about how difficult it was to eat well because of the lack of time, so the family arose the desire of bringing the homemade cuisine to all.
This goal was no other than bringing exclusive and different ready to eat specialities, elaborated in the most artisan way possible by the most experienced hands.
The company took its first steps back in 1992 in El Villar de Arnedo (La Rioja). Today we can ensure they are one of the most important delicatessen brands in the whole country.
