Domaine Gayda Flying Solo Grenache/Syrah (2024)

New

The wine is a deep, intense purple, captivating the eye at first glance. The nose reveals a basket of ripe fruit: red plum, blackberry, blackcurrant jam, with a touch of freshness from redcurrant and hints of licorice. On the palate, a generous explosion of red fruit softens the tannins, which are smooth yet still structured, giving the wine depth and persistence. The finish is prolonged by aromas of liquorice and pink peppercorn.

'Flying Solo' is audacity poured into a range of wines. Turning its back on international grape varieties, its wines give pride of place to Grenache, which forms the backbone of the range, blended with Syrah, Viognier, or Cinsault. Fearless, it pays homage to the pioneers of the Aéropostale who, in the 1920s, braved all dangers to ensure the delivery of the mail.

    Winemaking process

Traditional winemaking for Grenache - Short maceration at low temperature for Syrah.
