2002 was a little challenging for the production of Millésimé due to unstable weather, particularly in July. However, the Indian summer allowed exceptional maturity of berries in September. The harvest was average in volume, but the quality of the fruit was excellent and 2002 now reveals itself as one of the very best vintages of the past few decades. Millésimé benefits from extended ageing in cellar, an average of 8 years, giving a powerful, structured and full bodied style of wine which is beautifully balanced
