Heidsieck source fruit from all over the Champagne region. Working closely with growers ensured the vineyards were managed to provide quality fruit. The grapes were hand-picked, gently pressed as whole bunches and fermented at cool temperature in stainless steel tanks. A high percentage of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier gave the wine weight and depth. After secondary fermentation the wine was aged on its yeast lees giving a toasty, creamy mouthfeel.
