Domaine Leflaive is one of Puligny Montrachet's historic and most revered domaines. In 2004 they started acquiring parcels of vines in Maconnais, identifying several parcels of exceptional quality. The wines are made using the same methods as in Puligny, being one of the early exploiters of biodynamics in Burgundy.
The Macon Verzé stands out for its class, elegance, and purity. It has an 'old-school' freshness that seems to be missing from many modern White Burgundies: layered with hazelnut, brioche, white flowers, and white peach notes.
