New

Pale lemon gold with a nose of dessert apples and stone fruit. The palate is medium bodied fresh and fruity, with good citrus acidity balancing the orchard fruit flavours. The finish is of good length and develops some nutty hints.

    Producer

With most of the grape growers in the Mâconnais farmers of mixed pursuits who own only around a hectare of vines each, co-operatives have long been vital to the region and are among the country’s best. Based near Tournus, the Vignerons de Mancy is a group of 80 growers who produce some of the best value wines in Burgundy.

    Winemaking

100% Chardonnay The fruit is part hand harvested and part machine harvested, crushed, drained and gently pressed. There then follows a natural must clarification before alcoholic fermentation at a maximum of 20C in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts. The wine goes through mlf in tank and is aged with its lees for 10 months prior to bottling.

    Tasting Note

Pale lemon gold with a nose of dessert apples and stone fruit. The palate is medium bodied fresh and fruity, with good citrus acidity balancing the orchards fruit flavours. The finish is of good length and develops some nutty hints.
