Bourgogne En Montre-Cul (2018) Chateau de Marsannay

New

'Montre Cul' means 'bottom-baring', and the wine owes its name to the steep hillside on which the vines grow, and to the women who worked there, affording a privileged view from below! And we're delighted it's not just the story that's appealing... This is a sophisticated, silky, velvety nectar that affords an enormous amount of enjoyment thanks to its delicious, crisp fruitiness. The whole is harmonious, with superb, well-enveloped tannins and a long, mellow, intense and addictive finish!!

The Château de Marsannay bears the name of the village that houses it. It has 28 hectares in the best climates of the Marsannay appellation, which has requested classification as Premiers Crus for 13 of its localities. The Château de Marsannay estate has a wealth of terroirs with plots in Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Bel Air and Champeaux, Vosne-Romanée en Orveaux... It also exclusively operates the vines that the hospices of Dijon have in Côte de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune. To make the best wines, the work of the Château de Marsannay begins with the vines, carefully cultivated. Then, once the harvest has been harvested at perfect maturity, the wines are vinified and aged by plot in order to respect the terroirs. A year and a half after harvest, the wine is bottled and still rests for many months before being on the table, in its superb bottle.
