The Charles Noëllat estate had plots ideally located in Vosne, notably on the Richebourg grand cru. The estate was bought in 1988 by Lalou Bize-Leroy to constitute the future Leroy estate. Today, the few remaining bottles are snapped up among collectors.
The Leroy estate is now one of the few estates to cultivate vines on this plot which is located below the Romanée-Conti. This wine has even become one of the flagship cuvées of the domain. Before that, Charles Noëllat signed very great wines on this grand cru and on these same plots. The few remaining bottles constitute the last testimony of this extraordinary winemaker.
