The 2019 La Chenade is a lovely Lalande-de-Pomerol from the Darantou family, bursting with aromas of plummy fruit, wild berries, rose petals, smoke and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with supple tannins, succulent acids and a nicely defined finish, this charming wine represents one of the great values of right bank Bordeaux.

Denis Durantou, owner of prestigious Château Eglise Clinet, purchased the Les Cruzelles property in Lalande de Pomerol and makes a second wine called La Chenade.
Acclaimed as “man of the soil” this ambitious and passionate winemaker ages the crop in 50 percent new oak to give the wines a silky texture and hint of oak on the palate.
