The vineyard
The vineyard of this Listrac property extends over the high gravel terrace of the Médoc. Located between the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, the 32-hectare vineyard occupies a privileged location and benefits from a unique microclimate. The vines are planted on Pyrenees gravel soils on a limestone base favoring excellent drainage and good ripening of the grapes.
The vintage
A mild winter precedes a spring with favorable climatology. The month of June gave way to a summer period marked by heat and drought. However, the clay-limestone soils helped to avoid water stress. As the harvest approached, the thermal differences between the days and nights of autumn made it possible to refine the maturity of the berries while maintaining optimal freshness.
Winemaking and aging
A light crushing precedes destemming of the berries, before fermentation for 20 to 25 days in temperature-controlled vats. Aging for 12 months in oak barrels (a third of which are new).
Tasting
With soft tannins and a beautiful structure, this wine seduces with its roundness and liveliness.
Service
For optimal tasting, it is recommended to taste at a temperature between 16 and 18°C.
