This wine is named "Eve", one of Benjamin and Arians de Rothschild's four daughters. Eve is thus associated with the revival of Château de Malengin, whose origins date back to 1350.
This 100% Merlot breaks with the Bordeaux tradition of barrel aging: it is matured in amphoras for twelve months, giving a very contemporary, fresh, fruity and crisp profile. A new expression from the great clay-limestone terroirs of the Right Bank of Bordeaux

Chateau De Malengin "Eve"
This 2018 100% Merlot AOC Montagne Saint-Emilion, named after one of Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild’s four daughters, marks a return to the essential, closer to the nature of wine. By taking an active part in the project, Eve de Rothschild demonstrates the family’s attachment to this property and embodies the revival of a wine that has fallen into oblivion.
Matured 50% in amphorae and produced in only 13,078 bottles, Eve is a faithful expression of the Rive-Droite terroir, without artifice. This 2018 vintage succeeds in the double challenge of breaking the codes while honouring the values dear to the Rothschild family: audacity, excellence and transmission.
