The palate is very well balanced with fresh acidity, fine-grain tannins, a touch of salinity developing towards the finish that has more grip than previous vintages. Superb.

    Pichon Comtesse Réserve is the exceptionally popular second wine of Pauillac Second Growth, Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. It offers a wonderful snapshot of the estate set within a more medium-bodied and supple framework and is excellent for earlier drinking. The excellent 2019 vintage is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
