Pale lemon-gold colored, the 2016 Climens is a little youthfully mute, revealing notions of ripe peaches, mango and musk melon with touches of cedar chest, orange blossoms, candied ginger and baking bread. Bursting in the mouth with vibrant, energetic stone fruit and tropical layers, it is framed by fantastic freshness, finishing long and creamy.

The château Climens is part of the wine heritage of Bordeaux since at least 1547. This estate located on the Barsac appellation and very early nicknamed the "Lord of Barsac" has seen its structure and surface area remain unchanged in over 200 years.
Château Climens is one of the rare Bordeaux Grands Crus Classés to invest so much in the respect of the environment with full biodynamic practices since 2010 and a systematic certification of the vineyard since 2014. Moreover, 2016 is an important date for the estate with the awarding of the mention "Wine made from Demeter grapes" which enshrines practices related to the wine in addition to those related to the vineyard.
The 2016 vintage is a vintage that will go down in history in Bordeaux. For the wines of Barsac the result is magnificent with a very high quality botrytization. At Chateau Climens the first sorting started on September 28th and finished on October 11th. The second and last sorting testifies to the homogeneous maturity of the vintage. Perfectly situated between finesse and balance thanks to the rigorous selection of the teams, Château Climens 2016 is a must.
