Deep cherry red colour with black glints. The bouquet is expressive. Dark fruits and spice aromas. The palate is full and intense. Smooth, fine tannins.
"This shows density and structure for a 2015 with ripe tannins and bright fruit character. Full body. Chewy texture. Extremely well done for Médoc." - 92-93 points, James Suckling

One of the most famous Cru Bourgeois estates, situated near Margaux. The winemaking is now done by Alfred Tesseron and his team, who are responsible for bringing Pontet Canet such success over the last 15 years. Tesseron has transformed the vinification process and as a result this is very much an estate on the up...one to watch.
Château Sénéjac is one of the better known Crus Bourgeois of the Haut-Médoc, located near to the vineyards of Margaux, just outside Parempuyre in the far south of the Haut-Médoc region. Sénéjac is a historic estate of 150 hectares, of which only 38 are under vine, and even in the middle of the 19th century produced 100,000 bottles, not far short of its modern-day total.. Its reputation for making high quality wine blossomed in the 1980s and then in 1999 it entered a new era when it was bought by Lorraine Cordier, whose family also owned the famous Saint-Julien property, Château Talbot. There are 28 hectares of vineyards and the wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Merlot (37%), Cabernet Franc (11%) and Petit Verdot (4%). It is matured in oak barriques (25% new) for 18 months. Recently the estate has changed hands and is now owned by Monsieur Rutsman.
