Australian Shiraz is the country's most iconic and widely planted grape variety, celebrated for its remarkable stylistic diversity that ranges from approachable "quaffable" reds to world-class, age-worthy classics
Historically synonymous with warm-climate regions like the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale, these "classic" expressions are typically full-bodied and opulent, featuring bold flavours of ripe blackberry, plum, chocolate, and black pepper, often complemented by the vanilla notes of American oak.

A classic Clare Valley palate, one that effortlessly combines the elegant freshness of the dark fruits and chocolate notes of the nose with the serious texture and mouthfeel of a wine made the traditional way; open fermentation and basket pressings. It's length and palate persistence is a testament to it's fine natural tannins and acidity
Deep crimson purple in colour, this wine shows intense youthful aromas of dark, ripe cherries, Christmas pudding, Indian spice and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and ripe and embodies a classic South Australian Shiraz, with layers of ripe blackberries and Christmas cake, surrounded by soft, juicy, ripe tannins.
This wine is a labour of love - one the accountant (Gary) did not know about. The DTG Shiraz is a beautiful dark garnet colour with black cherry, blueberry and mixed spice on the nose. Hints of pepper and soft oak spice are beautifully integrated with blackberry fruits and medium bodied silky tannins.
100% of the fruit is sourced from the vineyards surrounding Whistler Wines Cellar Door, grown using organic and biodynamic practices. Hand picked by their loyal mailing list customers, the Purple Hands crew, the majority of this wine comes from their grafted Shiraz blocks, with the balance coming from the older plantings of Shiraz on their vineyard.
Lifted and perfumed notes of blackberry, blueberry and violet characters laced with classic nuances of black pepper, cedar and an intriguing savoury edge. Medium bodied and elegant with fleshy dark fruit characters, silky tannins and balanced acidity culminating in a long and rewarding finish.
Deep ruby red with purple hues, strawberry, raspberry and vanilla aromas . Rich fruit-forward characters of raspberry and plums tantalise the palate. There is a soft toasty oak influence that enhances the vanilla and spice. Subtle tannins leave the palate quite moreish and a delight to keep coming back to.
