    WINEMAKING

Harvested as separate clones and fermented wild in open fermenters. Gentle hand plungling twice per day and basket pressed, then stored in a 3000L French Oak Foudre for 18 months.  Bottled with no fining.

    THE WINE

Our take on the classic Barossa Shiraz, this wine has a inky purple colour with a deep red hue. Aromas of dark plum, wild berries and chocolate/coffee. Medium to full bodied the palate is rich and voluptuous, with the classic dark red fruits and smooth silky tannins. As our flagship wine, it has great capacity to age and will continue to soften and develop more secondary & tertiary characters.

    STORY BEHIND THELABEL

The shape is the north-eastern Shiraz block on our estate vineyard. The 60 lines represent the exact number of rows in the block.  The vineyard was planted by my father, Martin Pfeiffer, in 1994 and comprises 3 different shiraz clones. As 4th generation grape growers we wanted our Estate range to reflect our love of the land.
