Deep red/purple, bright colour, with a walnut, dry spice, dusty aroma. It's medium to full-bodied and softly textured, with good fleshiness and abundant supple tannins. There is density and richness here, with some licorice notes and abundant alcohol without hotness. A generously proportioned shiraz-based red. Delicious wine, and quite decadent

Turkey Flat Vineyards is a wine estate located in Barossa Valley in Australia. It was here, on the banks of Tanunda Creek where bush turkeys once roamed, that pioneer Silesian settler Johann Friedrich August Fiedler planted the first vines in 1847.
The vineyard was purchased by the Schulz family in 1860 and is still owned by the family today. It yields very small quantities of intense, concentrated Shiraz and is the cornerstone of Turkey Flat vineyards.
