The Trivento winery was set up some 20 years ago by Concha y Toro, "popping over" The Andes, from their Chilean base. This "Private Selection" wine was produced from hand picked grapes grown in some of the best vineyards in the high altitude Mendoza region.
Following harvest, the grapes were destemmed and crushed before initial cold maceration. Fermentation took place in stainless steel with the wine then undergoing natural malolactic fermentation adding complexity and structure. The final wine was left to age for a 6 months in French Oak barrels.
The colour is a bright crimson red with violet tones. A balanced blend of plum and raspberry comes through on the bouquet leading to a full bodied palate of dark stone fruit flavours. These are balanced with sweet, softened, and rounded tannins, with added vanilla notes.
