BODEGAS FABRE
The multiple-award-winning Bodegas Fabre winery in Mendoza is a family-owned company set up and run by husband and wife Hervé and Diane Joyaux Fabre. Seeing the incredible potential of the Argentine terroir, Hervé Joyaux Fabre bought a number of Argentina’s oldest Malbec vineyards in Mendoza. The Phebus range of wines combines Argentina’s purity of fruit and clear varietal expression with elegance and complexity. Underpinning all of this is Diane and Hervé’s unshakeable belief and determination that all their wines should express the local terroirs as elegantly as possible.
WINEMAKING
Our vineyards are located in Alto Valle de Río Negro, Patagonia. Patagonia is an exciting region for Argentine wine; the climate is significantly cooler than in Mendoza, giving fresher wines with a more elegant, almost old world style. Deleafing and green picking is performed in December. Hand-harvested in small trays of 20 kg in order not to damage the grapes.
