Mumbles Fine Wines Exclusive
This last vintage of the “Rx” trilogy was a veritable success due to stringent selection but this was at the expense of quantity – less than half of what was produced in either of the other two years. The wine is fresh and bright with more red fruit than black and filigree tannins that knit beautifully to provide this wine with longevity
Light toasted mineral nose, vanilla and balanced palate.
This Etna Rosso is made with the native grapes Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, grown at an altitude of 650-750m above sea level on the slopes of Mt. Etna. The soil of Mt. Etna is volcanic and very rich in minerals which give the wine a rustic smoky, earthy note. The palate has elegant redcurrant flavours combined with spices, liquorice and a...
6 Great Wines from Tenuta Giustini, 5 Reds, 1 White Normal Price £93.70, Offer Price £82.50
Savoury and earthy, this wine shows very expressive aromatic notes of tomato leaf, ripe fig and black plum, as well as a healthy amount of tannic grip, which gives the wine beautiful structure in the mouth.
The cords of fine bubbles rise in undulating majesty in a pale yellow color with light green reflections. The nose combines different notes of fresh white fruit (pear, peach). In the Mouth a sharp attack offers a fleshy material with a balance on the crisp and fruity aromas that contribute to all and persist in a long, fresh, balanced finish....
Notes of Honey, Nuts and Ginger Alain Robert & Fils Vouvray Demi Sec Sparkling Review by Adam (aka @boozydude)
This wine is made up of 38% Shiraz, 36% Mataro and 26% Grenache, with the majority grown on the vineyards surrounding the Whistler Cellar Door. Whistler have been running their vineyard using organic practices since August 2013, and biodynamic practices since July 2017.
Entirely from their Heysen Estate Vineyard, this wine is a blend of all three clones of their Shiraz- Kalimna 3C, 1654 and BVRC30. Deep loam over clay, with outcrops of quartz stone and ironstone.
Grown on the Estate at Whistler Wines, Seppeltsfield Road, Stone Well, Barossa Valley. The Shiraz is a combination of original plantings from 1994, with three different clones of Shiraz. The Cabernet Sauvignon is clone planted in 1997 on a lovely south-east facing slope with lots of broken quartz in the soil.
100% of the fruit is sourced from the vineyards surrounding Whistler Wines Cellar Door, grown using organic and biodynamic practices. Hand picked by their loyal mailing list customers, the Purple Hands crew, the majority of this wine comes from their grafted Shiraz blocks, with the balance coming from the older plantings of Shiraz on their vineyard.
