Another Irish whiskey from The Pogues (yes, the band) and West Cork Distillers. The band's first foray into the world of whiskey was a brilliant Irish blend, and now we have a single malt, aged in bourbon oak casks before it was bottled up at 40% ABV. Now we're going to have Fairytale of New York stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.
The creation of master blender Alex Thomas, The Sexton Single Malt Irish whiskey is made from 100% Irish malted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills. After, the liquid is aged in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks imparting a rich and fruity character. It comes in a rather eye-catching hexagonal bottle, too.
An enchanted fusion between 100% Arabica coffee beans and premium Vanilla. 100% Arabica releases the unique Tia Maria fragrance thanks to special cold brew extraction. Coffee exudes cacao and tobacco notes providing the rich full-bodied taste. Vanilla provides softness and roundness with a hint of Jamaican rum that gives body, depth and structure.
Released in early 2019, this 12 year old single malt from Tobermory was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two year break! This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV.
This beautiful 21-year-old whisky is a new addition to the Tobermory range that was finished in ex-oloroso sherry casks. These were chosen to create flavours reminiscent of foraged fruit found scattered across the distillery's charming home on the Isle of Mull.
Have a little taste with the Tomatin 12 Year Old 5cl Miniature, a mini bottling of this exciting release. This lovely dram was updated in 2014 and the strength increased to 43% ABV (from 40% ABV). It was finished off in Oloroso sherry casks giving it some sherry sweetness on the palate.
A 2016 replacement for the previous sherry-finished expression, this Tomatin 12 Year Old has been aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. The result is a sweet whisky with notes of apples, citrus and sweet spice.
The Tomatin 14 Year Old is soft, smooth and sweet, benefiting from its time spent in Tawny Port casks which previously held port for around 50 years. Rich but balanced aromas of red berries, sweet honey and rich toffee develop into aspects of light fruits and nuts on the palate and an abiding finish of smooth fruit salad.
An 18 year old from the Tomatin distillery, finished in Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts.
Enjoy some Tomatin single malt Scotch whisky presented at cask strength - a generous 57.5% ABV. Introduced in early 2015, this is the first cask strength bottling to join Tomatin's core range, and is matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks. With their range growing more and more, it's certainly exciting days for the distillery in the...
Tomatin's smoky series of single malts, Cù Bòcan, received a bit of a redesign in mid-2019, receiving new bottles and new expressions - like this one! Cù Bòcan Signature is a lightly peated expression that has been drawn from a trio of casks; bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks and North American virgin oak casks. No...
Tomatin distillery's no-age-statement release uses virgin oak as well as bourbon casks. It provides a new entry level to the Tomatin range but the use of different casks make this a unique expression.
