The 2017 Als wär’s ein Stuck von mir (Piece of me) combines light footedness with precision as an aromatic young wine and should have solid potential to express its inherent mineral character, spice, and persistence as it ages and further develops.
A typical Kaiserstuhl type wine with delicious aromas of pears and melons. Well balanced acidity, round and luscious combined with a mineral tension followed by a very subtle oak finish. The Kaiserstuhl is a volcanic outcrop towards the north of the Rhine valley and literally translated means Emperors chair (or throne).
This Rivaner is a pale lemon yellow colour with medium acidity and medium bodied. Aromas of nutmeg, yellow stone fruit, apricots, nectarines and subtle floral notes. This well balanced dry white wine is intended for immediate enjoyment.
"Weihnachts Eiswein" is made exclusively from the juice of frozen grapes picked on Christmas Day. Now at 50 years of age, this is the rarest of rare wines - now drinking beautifully.
A delicately floral, dry Riesling with aromas of citrus, white peaches, apricot and juicy pears. Refreshing acidity and a long finish
There is a delicate fragrance of rose petals & spices. Musky aromas and delicate blossom honey notes suggest a sweeter, richer style, yet the palate is fresh, just off dry. Soft acidity.
Sweetness is well balanced by really vibrant acidity. The bouquet exudes powerful orange blossom, honey and citrus aromas. The floral aspect to the bouquet is incredible! The palate is also beautiful, bringing rich peach, tangerine, lychee, pear, lemon and honey. This is a wine of great complexity and yet it’s all harmonious and elegant. The...

As this does not appear every year in Germany, the wines are exceedingly rare. 1976 was one of the classic years for...

Full, expressive Sauvignon Blanc spontaneously fermented in oak barrels to deliver a smoky "fumé" element. Mouthwatering stone fruit, lemon, herbs, a hint of passion fruit and subtle notes of gooseberry. The grapes chosen for this wine are from Oliver's oldest and finest vines.
