Rib Shack Red is unashamedly macho, made for those who love to light a fire and grill a whopping piece of meat (South Africans are famous for it). These guys know the perfect wine for the braai is rich, smooth, smoky and, well, meaty. That's Rib Shack Red to a tee. It's made from local star Pinotage, plus Shiraz and Cabernet, three of the weightiest, punchiest grapes around. When crafted by the team at the 70 year old Douglas Green winery, you can rest assured it's also velvet smooth. With its big plum, damson and bramble fruit and powerful spice, it's a great expression of the country's winelands, thanks to the dozens of dedicated growers the winery's worked with for years. It is also spot on with oven cooked sticky ribs and casseroles.
