In the glass, it has a purplish ruby red core with light to medium opacity. A nice bouquet of dried cherries, rhubarb, tomato leaf and spice cake.It has an old world style with a lightness on the body with bright acidity. Its distinct lack of oaking or oak treatment is a nice diversion as is its simplicity. The tannins are soft and powdery and for fruit, think leather tinged, dried dusty cranberries.
