The ‘Baroni Statti’ started wine making in Calabria back in the 1700s. The winery today has approximately 100 hectares of vineyards and 300 hectares of olive groves. There is a strong emphasis on the indigenous Greco grape variety, which can trace its origins back to the times of Ancient Greece. Alberto and Antonio Statti took over the long-established estate in 1990 and dedicated themselves to the production of high-quality wines which reflect the local terroir. Their aim was to put a modern slant on Calabria’s wine-making.
