Great complexity and elegance. Blackcurrant notes, black and ripe fruits melted in blackberry and blueberry jam. Cedar, species, chocolate and tobacco notes emerge later on.
On the palate harmonious, generous and elegant. Well-structured, with positive and mature tannins. It's a fatty, dense and full-bodied wine, enticing from its beginning to its end. Vines in Alluvial soil

Tasting notes |
Black ripe fruit, chocolate and graphite interplay in perfect
balance. Dense and warm, the wine's firm tannins lead into sweet and long chocolate and dry fruit finish.
Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. (40 % in new barrels and 60 % in one and two year old barrels).
On the south bank of the Maipo River soil is alluvial, stony, poor in nutrients while the gravel subsoil makes it highly permeable.

Tasting notes |
Light, golden yellow. It offers very intense aromas of white peach, papaya, fig, mango and hazelnut, while showing surprising elegance. Medium to full-bodied; creamy and mineral to the palate. The balance between fruit and acidity is very well achieved, with a core of white peach and papaya flavours supported by the presence of refined oak. The long finish integrates the flavours.
This is the coolest part of the Maipo Valley; its ample day-to-night temperature variation paces the ripening of the grapes.
Piedmont colluvial clay-loam soils. Semi arid Mediterranean, influenced by the Andes Mountains. Harvest was hand picked March 10-16, 2003.
Fermented on its lees for 11 months in new (33%) and 2nd and 3rd use (67%) French oak barrels.
