Grown sparingly in the southern French vineyards around Carcassone, its richness and velvet-like concentration has been intensified by the thin soils, dry climate and attention to detail by our resident ‘Guru’ winemaker, Xavier Roger. AB Alicante Bouschet (2014) Review by Adam (aka boozydude)
Typical winey with delicate scent of fruit peach, sage, broom flower and whitetorn as well as scent of balsamic herbs which leave a beautiful note. Fresh with a good texture and excellent aromatic consistence, it has a great balance, firmness, roundness, non-acid with a beautiful persistence and a pleasantly bitterish end.
Elegance and refinement for these semi-dry wines that combine the scent of citrus, slight spicy nuances and candied fruit. Delicately soft and fresh on the palate with fruity vanilla and toasted aromas, offers a final elegant and long finish.
Almaraz Blanco is a delicious new arrival from Rioja and Bodegas del Medievo. A light, fresh, un-oaked white Rioja showing the typical pear and apple aromas. Flavours of pears and peaches coupled with a citrus uplift from Sauvignon Blanc in the blend. A really refreshing and lightly rounded white Rioja; great value.
